Deputy Mayor Melkorka Kjarval’s Monthly Reports
April 8th, 2024
Red Hook Together: did not meet for the month of April.
Red Hook Town Economic Development Committee: Bi-weekly meetings have been taking place at Village Hall on the second & fourth Wednesdays of the month at 8:40 am.
On March 20th - there was a special meeting held to discuss the Town’s (at that time) proposed moratoriums. Concerns and objections were raised by multiple members of the committee as well as several guests. Town Supervisor McKeon was also in attendance and answered questions. The regularly scheduled March 29th meeting also focused on the moratorium issue, and whether the EDC should submit an official letter. It was decided that one of the members would instead attend the board meeting that evening and speak on behalf of the committee objecting to each of the 3 moratoriums.
Village of Red Hook Communications Committee: The Communications committee meets every first Wednesday of the month at 1:30 pm in the Village Hall conference room. This month’s meeting was rescheduled due to conflicts with other meetings.
