Sewer Report - July 13th, 2026
Things are currently status-quo at the sewer.
We have had three instances of note:
-
An overflow at the post office pump station - easily remediated
-
A high mudwell at the plant - resolved by backwashing
-
High temperatures in the plant - due to summer heat and thriving “bugs”. We will monitor temperature of outflow to ensure well-being of Massoneau wetland
Les Coon and Jake Smith provided estimates for safety railing updates within the plant. Costing about $3000, within budget for standard maintenance and care.
Delaware Engineering recently provided two engineering schematics:
-
Short-term updates to optimize capacity at current plant
-
Extensive plans for expansion project
The Daily Catch visited the plant, following up on a former article regarding WWTP.
Trustee Allen is currently receiving quotes from various energy suppliers to renegotiate our costs - should have everything for the Board by the next workshop meeting.
