Village of Red Hook Red Hook Public Library Monthly Report July 2024

The Red Hook Public Library (RHPL) held their regular board meeting on Thursday, July 18[th] .

The full board was in attendance (Anna Greig, , as well as Alex Geller, the Library’s Executive Director. I was the only guest.

Policy Committee

The Policy Committee discussed the possibility of reducing the board terms from 5 years down to 3 years. They will be checking with legal counsel as to whether that would require a charter change. Term limits were also discussed. No decisions were made.

Strategic Planning Committee

This committee reported on small focus groups that they held. They also noted that they will be reviewing their survey results.

Board of Directors

Treasurer Amy Husted announce that she will be stepping down from the board at the end of 2024. She has served for 8 years. New board member Grace Kachigian was proposed to take over the Treasurer position. No vote was taken.
