Village of Red Hook Trustee Charlie Laing Monthly Reports August

Materials Management

In the month of August the Village Highway Dept collected 1.98 tons of recycling (0.9 tons of comingled; 0.43 tons of cardboard; and 0.65 tons of paper). The Village also collected 5.62 tons of garbage which was transported to UCRRA at a total cost of $689.93 ($646.30 in tipping fees and $43.63 of fuel surcharge). The Village also paid $246.63 in monthly fees for use of the Welsh dumpster service. Over the course of the month the Village collected $2,480 from sale of garbage tags, broken down as follows: $1,604 at Village Hall; $600 from Taste Budds; $276 from the Red Hook Public Library.

Saw Kill Watershed Community

The SKWC Leadership Committee met on August 21 in the Village Hall to continue discussion of organizational needs and priorities for 2024.

The next meeting is scheduled for September 25 at Village Hall.

Community Preservation Fund Committee

No meetings in the month of July. Still unclear that they have had a meeting recently but the current balance of the CPF is $2,982,968.51.
