Commi ee Updates Bids have been received from poten al consultants for the Natural Resources Inventory (NRI). The NRI project will coordinate with and inform the comprehensive plan. Discussion – Community Engagement & Outreach Hardscrabble Day – Eric and Julia provided an update on successful tabling at Hardscrabble Day and a summary of the themes from the community input. (See mee ng slides.) Communica ons – A fall newsle er was emailed to people who have signed up for no fica ons. The Town’s comprehensive plan website has been reorganized and updated. The commi ee discussed ways to op mize use of the Town’s No fy Me no fica on system. Kitchen Table Conversa ons – The kit for hosts is completed and will be emailed to commi ee members. The commi ee discussed how to adapt this tool to a virtual format, whether and how to collect demographic informa on about par cipants and ideas for how to streamline the hos ng process. Community Engagement Subcommi ee – Tricia has been in touch with some poten al members, with the goal of a first mee ng ahead of the October 21 workshop. Courtney Zwart, a poten al member of the subcommi ee, a ended this mee ng to discuss workshop promo on and outreach. 1

Visioning Workshop – October 21st, 7-9pm, Red Hook High School cafeteria. Eric brought flyers for commi ee members to distribute. Virtual versions of outreach materials will be emailed to commi ee members a er the mee ng. The commi ee discussed poten al outreach channels for promo ng the workshop (physical loca ons, online forums, social media, groups/organiza ons, media) and systems for tracking what outreach has been completed. A ques on was raised about the workshop discussion topics – for all of these topics, how ac ve and involved do people want the local government to be in accomplishing the goals? This will be more of a focus for later engagement opportuni es but may also be discussed in the visioning workshop breakout groups. Informa on generated during community engagement ac vi es will be collected and analyzed by Pa ern for Progress and will be shared with the Steering Commi ee periodically throughout the planning process. Summaries will also be shared with the public. Next Steps Next mee ng: October 28th, 7:30-9:00pm The October mee ng will include a debrief of the October 21st Visioning Workshop, updates on other community engagement and review of themes from community input to date.
