Village of Red Hook Mayor’s Report January 2024

POLICE REPORT & LAW ENFORCEMENT:

Incident reports for December & January – see attached.

FIRE DEPARTMENT:

No incident report.

INSURANCE:

Renewal is coming up this Spring. I am scheduled to meet with our insurance brokers, Marshall & Sterling, in early March.

COMMUNICATIONS NOTE:

You haven’t missed it. February newsletter hasn’t gone out yet.

RED HOOK PUBLIC LIBRARY:

No full report this month. Regarding officers, Martha Tepepa was elected Vice President. She joins Amy Husten, Treasurer, and Sarah DeVeer, Secretary, who were reelected in December. Election of the President was tabled to the February meeting. The February meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 15 at 6:30pm.

WINTER STORM WATCH: I participated in an all municipality call for Dutchess County. Current forecast is for limited snowfall overnight (<1” by daybreak) with a minimum of 4” by 2pm. Gusts of wind up to 30mph. Emergency crews will be ready. Central Hudson is not expecting this to be a significant event for power outages – with the current forecast. There is uncertainty.
