Town of Red Hook Comprehensive Plan - Steering Commi ee Mee ng Minutes April 7th, 2026 7:30-9:00pm Red Hook Town Hall In A endance Commi ee: Laurie Husted, Dennis Kanuk, Jennifer Mañón, Chuck Mead, Hart Migdal, Sam Phelan, Ben Shute, Julia Solomon (Chair) Liaisons: Sarah Imboden (Liaison, Village of Tivoli), Melkorka Kjarval (Liaison, Village of Red Hook), Jacob Testa (Liaison, Red Hook Town Board) Guests: Eric Pierson (Pa ern for Progress) Regrets Chris ne Kane, Taun Toay (Liaison, Bard College) Minutes Minutes from the March 24th mee ng were approved. Updates  Chris ne Kane was appointed to the commi ee by the Town Board.  Tricia Reed has resigned from the commi ee because she is moving out of town.  Julia and Eric will give an update presenta on to the Town Board on April 14.  Eric is con nuing to meet with Town commi ees to solicit input.  Eric is working on analyzing and summarizing findings and will send dra visions and goals to the commi ee by April 14 for review. Discussion – Spring Events (Workshop #2 and Apple Blossom Day) The commi ee discussed goals and logis cs for the upcoming workshop and display at Apple Blossom Day. The purposes of the Apple Blossom Day display are to promote the workshop and begin to make the vision and goals visible to the community. The purpose of the workshop is to provide an opportunity for feedback on vision and goals while also invi ng ideas about strategies to achieve the goals. Date and loca on of the workshop are TBD, with the goal of holding it between Apple Blossom Day and Memorial Day. It will be a drop-in style expo-type event held over ~4 hours to maximize accessibility to as many people as possible. The commi ee discussed pros and cons of various days/ mes and venues. The commi ee also discussed possible channels and strategies for promo ng the workshop. A digital/survey version of the workshop will be available a er the event.
