Village of Red Hook Village Green Committee Monthly Report July 2024
The Current balances of the Village Green Committee’s related budget accounts, at the end of July are as follows:

Community Beautification – contractual expenses (#8510.4) ----- no expenses, balance remains $440.03

Village Green Committee Checking Account Balance ------------------$8,259.61
I was out of town for most of July but have been in contact with our intern who started to implement the trees into GPS & Mapping program the village uses. There have been a handful of storms so far this summer that have hit our trees hard. Many residents and businesses have lost trees. We are hoping we can give new life with our seasonal plantings. We also have ideas to help replant the construction area over by the waste water treatment plant and would love some community involvement or organizing, planning and implementation. This project will partner with the Climate Smart Communities Task force as well. If you are interested please reach out to me.
Residents and businesses interested in having a tree(s) planted on their adjacent Village Street or NYS highway right-of-way’s, volunteering for planting days, or sponsoring a VGC beautification project, myself, Kym Bradley-Rickard, or Jen Cavanaugh - Village Clerk.
