School Speed Zone Support – Route 199 & Linden Avenue
The Board of Trustees supports the creation of a school speed zone on State Route 199 and County Route 79 (Linden Avenue) around Linden Avenue Middle School and Red Hook High School.[19][21]

Seasonal Towing Contract – H&N Towing (2025–2026)
H&N Towing Enterprises (7309 S Broadway, Red Hook) is awarded the 2025–2026 Seasonal All-Night Parking Law Towing Contract, authorized by the Mayor, at a rate of $205.00 per vehicle including 3 days of storage and $75.00 per day per vehicle thereafter.[18][20]

Temporary Parking Restriction – Park Avenue North Side
Parking is temporarily restricted on the north side of Park Avenue to ensure emergency vehicle access to the Cookingham West public trail system.[17]
Temporary Parking Restriction – Church Street Extension (First 200 ft)
Parking is temporarily restricted on both sides of Church Street Extension for 200 feet from Park Avenue to ensure emergency vehicle access to the Cookingham West trail system.[17]

No-parking zones are established at bus stops on Route 9 at Village Hall and Firehouse Plaza, and on Route 199 at the intersection of St. John's Street and West Market Street, pursuant to Local Law No. 3 of 2018 amending Chapter 190 Vehicle and Traffic Code Schedules XII and XXII.[13]

Seasonal All-Night Parking – Prohibition Period
No vehicle shall be parked on any village-owned street or village right-of-way within the corporate limits of the Village of Red Hook between the hours of 11:00 PM and 6:00 AM during the period November 1 through March 31 of each year, both dates inclusive.[8][12]
Seasonal All-Night Parking – State Highways Route 9 & Route 199
On New York State highways Route 9 and Route 199, there shall be no parking from 2:00 AM to 6:00 AM during the period November 1 through March 31 of each year.[12]
Seasonal All-Night Parking – Vehicle Removal Authority
When snow and/or ice clearing operations are underway, any vehicle parked or abandoned on any street in violation of the seasonal parking prohibition may be removed by or under the direction of the Police Department of the Village of Red Hook or any responding police agency.[8][12]

The registered owner of a removed or impounded vehicle must present evidence of identity and right to possession, sign a receipt for its return, and pay an administrative fee, any penalties and fines owed to the Village, and all towing service and storage charges incurred.[8]

A school crossing zone is established as part of the Safe Routes to School Program.[3]
Church Street Drop-Off Zone – Operating Hours
A drop-off zone on Church Street (Methodist Church) is authorized with operating hours of 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM, Monday through Friday; the zone is to be painted on the curb contingent upon Village attorney approval.[4]
Two-Hour Parking – St. John's Street South Side
Two 2-hour parking signs shall be placed on the south side of St. John's Street adjacent to the old Post Office building.[5]

Stop Sign Extension – Elizabeth Street
A stop sign extension to Elizabeth Street 100 yards is established, with stop sign placement satisfying all rules and regulations of the NYS DOT.[2]

Seasonal Towing Contract – H&N Towing (2022–2023 Season)
H&N Towing Enterprises was approved as the on-call towing company for the 2022–2023 season at $175 per vehicle including 3 days of storage, plus $50 per day for each additional day. Superseded by subsequent H&N contracts.[14]
