RESOLVED
- the Amended Proposed Local Law is a Type I action and is substantially similar to the Proposed Local Law
- the public hearing scheduled for June 12, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. at the Village Hall, 7467 South Broadway, Red Hook, New York shall be held on the Amended Proposed Local Law
- the Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to publish notice of said public hearing in the official newspapers of the Village, on or before June 1, 2023, which is not less than ten calendar days prior to the date of said public hearing
- the Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to send a copy of the Amended Proposed Local Law, together with a copy of the EAF, to the Dutchess County Department of Planning and Development for a report and recommendation thereon pursuant to Section 239‐m of the General Municipal Law with a request for expedited review and a response by June 12, 2023
- the Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to send a copy of the public hearing notice to the clerks of the adjacent municipalities

- WHEREAS, on May 8, 2023, the Village Board of Trustees opened a duly noticed public hearing on a proposed form of a Local Law entitled "A Local Law to Regulate Animal Husbandry, Hens and Honeybees in the Village of Red Hook" (the "Proposed Local Law") which has been continued to June 12, 2023
- WHEREAS, the Proposed Local Law would permit animal husbandry, hens and beekeeping as an accessory use to a residential use in the R10,000 and R20,000 Zoning Districts, subject to controls regulating the activity to minimize impacts to neighboring property owners
- WHEREAS, in response to comments, an amended version of the Proposed Local Law has been laid on the desks of the Village Board of Trustees and is on file with the Village Clerk (the "Amended Proposed Local Law")
- WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 239‐m of the General Municipal Law, proposed amendments to the Zoning Law must be referred to the Department of Planning and Development for its review and report thereon
- WHEREAS, a Full Environmental Assessment Form ("EAF") dated April 27, 2023 has been prepared on behalf of the Board and was executed by the Mayor
- WHEREAS, on April 27, 2023, the Village Board of Trustees classified the Proposed Local Law as a Type I action in accordance with the New York State Environmental Quality Review Act ("SEQRA")
