Re: Court Audit

Dear Mayor:

I have reviewed the court audit of December 24, 2025, as well as the court’s financial records, and share with you the following information:

    1. The most important point of the audit is that every penny of taxpayer’s money is properly accounted for.
    1. There were 11 items deposited after the 72-hour guideline. This is 11 out of the 679 total items deposited during the time period of the audit, meaning that (if my math is correct) just 1.6% of the items deposited were untimely.

To ensure that this is not repeated, I have given staff written instructions that if a situation arises where they will not be able tc make a deposit within 72 hours, they are to contact me immediately, and I will come in and make the deposit.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
