RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH UPSEU FOR HEALTH INSURANCE CARRIER CHANGE

Resolution #14-2023 — 2023-05-08

WHEREAS

• the Village of Red Hook and the United Public Service Employees Union (UPSEU) are parties to a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) which expires May 31, 2024
• Article 12 of the CBA provides for health insurance coverage
• the Village seeks to change Medical Health Insurance carriers from MVP to CDPHP effective May 1, 2023 which will result in an overall reduction in cost for the Village
• because the deductible amounts increase under the new plan, UPSEU has requested updated language reflecting this change in the attached Memorandum of Agreement

RESOLVED

• the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the Memorandum of Agreement with UPSEU regarding the change in Health Insurance Carriers Agreement attached hereto with any insubstantial changes as approved by the Mayor
