Full-Time DPW Laborer for Water and Sewer Operations
One full-time DPW Laborer is authorized at approximately $56,000 annually (approximately $20/hr plus benefits), with costs split between the Water and Sewer Funds, replacing the contracted operations line items (Acct EW8310.41 & ES1710.4) budgeted at $25,000 each. Current part-time laborer Jerome Smith III was hired to fill this position effective immediately upon passage.[6]
H2O Innovation Water and Sewer Operator Appointment
H2O Innovation Operation & Maintenance, LLC is appointed as the Village's Water & Sewer Operator, effective August 1, 2025. The Mayor is authorized to negotiate and sign the contract in consultation with the Village Attorney.[7]
Village Attorney Conflict Waiver — H2O Innovation
The Village Board waives any potential conflict arising from Village Attorney Kyle Barnett's representation of H2O Innovation in a collection action that is winding down, finding the conflict unrelated and inconsequential.[7]
H2O Innovation Operation and Maintenance Agreement Amendment
The Mayor is authorized to execute Amendment #1 to the existing Operation and Maintenance Agreement with H2O Innovation, updating item number 2 to require both parties to collaborate on sewer system operation.[8]
