Village Green Committee — 2026 Appointments
The Board approves the Mayor's appointments to the Village Green Committee with all terms ending 12/31/26. As Liaison: Trustee Frances Uku; As Chairperson: Tara Barrett; As members: Brenda Cagle, Jim Cashen, Joy Glass, Kevin Joseph McGinnis, and David Pearson.[12]

Village Green Committee — Authorizing Structure
The Village Green Committee is authorized under Chapter 179 of the Village Code to administer the Community Forestry Program. The Committee comprises three appointed officers and additional members, all Village residents, with a Board liaison appointed by the mayor. The Public Spaces Committee is charged with advising the Village Board on how best to enhance and preserve public green space, including the Richard M. Abrahams Memorial Park. Duties include reviewing and making recommendations on possible local laws to promote pollinators, native plants, and natural land use; recommending how to proceed with the Pollinator Pathway project; recommending ways to incorporate art into public spaces; and implementing actions approved by the Village Board.[10]
