General Background

  • Moved to Red Hook in 2010, rented for 2 years then built a house in Shookville Rd where we lived until 2025.

  • Single, 2 daughters (one in college and another one still in high school)

  • Originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico

  • Graduated from Indiana University in 1991 with a Degree in Economics and Public Policy

Community Related

  • Coach at Red Hook Soccer Club from 2010 until 2020

  • Served as Mill Road s PTA Treasurer for 2 years

  • Founded Red Hook Harvest in 2015, a 100% volunteer organization that provided assistance to over 30 local families in need. We provided food, living essentials, student closets at middle and high school and even free summer camp opportunities for students.

Business Related

  • Prior to moving to Red Hook, I was a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley in charge of the Emerging Markets Group

  • Specialized in Project Finance (Toll Roads, Power Plants) and Fund Raising for Emerging Market countries like Brazil, Mexico, Russia, Colombia, Argentina, Dominican Republic, etc.

  • Also, in coordination with the World Bank, International Monetary Fund and the US Treasury, lead several foreign government debt restructurings

  • While in Red Hook, worked as a consultant for various international companies

  • Also owned and renovated a couple properties in the village that were used as long term rentals (no longer own any properties other than my own)
