Early subscribers received the following invitation to the program’s soft launch: On Sept 6, we placed an order for 80 countertop food waste pails at the wholesale rate provided by Amelia Legare of O Zone Red Hook. The total purchase amount was **$1462.40** . On Sept 24, Deputy Mayor Kjarval kindly offered her time to discuss branding and marketing for the program. Our hope is to tie in the food waste program into the excellent designs she has already developed for our other municipal services. I continue to work with her and the clerk on the program rollout. On Sept 30, I picked up the 80 bins from O Zone, and delivered most of them to the Highway Garage for temporary storage. A box of 15 units is also in Village Hall, pending distribution arrangements and schedule.
