Authority to Sign Ground Lease and Site Plan– Community Solar Project

Resolution #32-2019 — 2019-06-20

WHEREAS

  • the Village of Red Hook intends to continue steps to enable a project on our well fields to build the solar array and infrastructure for its Community Solar Project;
  • the Village has engineers and attorneys engaged in requisite steps and requisite legal work for the next steps to lease the property in the form of a land lease;
  • counsel has reviewed the lease and approves form and content for signature, subject to a final review by the attorney and engineer of the currently blank attachment pages and clarification of the insurance clause-section 11 – to address pollution liability and/or related document wording to assert no hazardous substances will be on the premises, and
  • by municipal law the Mayor has executive authority.

RESOLVED

  • Mayor Ed Blundell is fully authorized to complete and sign requisite lease documents and the site plan with owner consent form as necessary for the project, subject to the final review by the attorney and engineer of the currently blank attachment pages and modification of the insurance clause-section 11 – to enhance protection of the well field.

**RESOLUTION # - 2025 DATED: October 6, 2025** A meeting of the Village of Red Hook Board of Trustees was convened in public session at the Village Hall, 7467 South Broadway, Red Hook, NY on October 6, 2025. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Smythe. ## **RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF INSTALLATION OF SCHOOL SPEED ZONES FOR THE RED HOOK LINDEN AVENUE MIDDLE SCHOOL & RED HOOK HIGH SCHOOL** WHEREAS clauses: -, Red Hook Linden Avenue Middle School has entrances on both County-owned Linden Avenue and State-owned West Market Street -, and WHEREAS, Red Hook High School has an entrance on State-owned West Market Street -, and WHEREAS, NYS law allows for the establishment of a school speed zone when there are students who walk or bike to school -, and WHEREAS, the safety of our school community is of utmost importance . NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED clauses: -that the Village Board of Trustees is in support of establishing school speed zones in the Village of Red Hook.
