PANDA Participation Commitment

Resolution #10-2010 — 2010-11-01

WHEREAS

  • the five municipalities agreed in April 2006 to share in funding PANDA
  • the five party inter-municipal agreement extends through April 2011
  • the PANDA fiscal year begins January 2011
  • the Village of Red Hook fiscal year begins June 2011
  • the Village of Red Hook wants to explore options to reduce costs and promote transparency and access by a move to web-based viewing
  • PANDA has made commitments to move video recordings of Village meetings to a web-based presence on their site to allow viewing at any time on the web
  • PANDA has used existing equipment to create a web-based program viewing system
  • the 2011 PANDA budget has already been developed and presented to the five parties
  • the withdrawal of the Village of Red Hook would cause PANDA to fail in its mission for 2011

RESOLVED

  • the Village of Red Hook will rescind its September letter of withdrawal and commit to one more year of PANDA participation for 2011 and reserve its right to act after that year
