RESOLVED

  1. the Town Board hereby adopts the proposed amendment to the Comprehensive Plan, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, and authorizes the Town Clerk to make all required filings

  • WHEREAS, the Town Board has prepared amendment to the Town's Comprehensive Plan
  • WHEREAS, on May 14, 2019, the Town Board reviewed a Full Environmental Assessment Form (EAF) and Coastal Assessment Form (CAF) and classified the proposed action as a Type I action under SEQRA and declared its intent to serve as lead agency
  • WHEREAS, the proposed amendment, together with a copy of the EAF and CAF, were referred to the Town Planning Board for review and recommendation, which reviewed the matter at its meeting on June 3, 2019 and responded on June 7, 2019 that it supported the proposed amendments
  • WHEREAS, the proposed amendment were referred to the Dutchess County Department of Planning and Development pursuant to Section 239-m of the General Municipal Law and Section 272-a(5)(b) of the Town Law, together with a copy of the EAF and CAF, and the Department responded on May 29, 2019, that it was a matter of local concern
  • WHEREAS, the Town Board held two duly noticed public hearings on the proposed amendments, the first of which was held on May 29, 2019, and the second on June 11, 2019
  • WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 143-141 of the Red Hook Zoning Law, a copy of the proposed Local law, together with a copy of the EAF and CAF, was referred to the Town Planning Board which reviewed the matter at its June 2, 2019 meeting, recommended a finding that it is consistent with the Town's Local Waterfront Revitalization plan
  • WHEREAS, on June 26, 2019, the Town Board adopted a negative declaration determining that the proposed adoption of the Local Law will not have a significant adverse effect on the environment
  • WHEREAS, on June 26, 2019, the Town Board determined that the proposed Local law is consistent with the Town's Local Waterfront Revitalization Plan
  • WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Red Hook, after due deliberation, finds it in the best interest of the Town to adopt said amendments
