RESOLVED

  1. The Town Board hereby authorizes the Supervisor or, in his absence, the Deputy Supervisor, to execute and submit the Grant Application.
  2. The officers, employees and agents of the Town are hereby authorized and directed for and in the name and on behalf of the Town to do all acts and things as may be necessary or, in the opinion of the officer, employee or agent acting, desirable and proper to effect the purposes of the foregoing resolution.
  3. This resolution shall take effect immediately.
Show preamble — 4 WHEREAS clauses
  • WHEREAS, the Town of Red Hook ("Town") desires to apply for assistance through the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Water Quality Improvement Program ("NYSDEC WQIP") which is a competitive, statewide reimbursement grant program open to local governments and not-for-profit corporations to implement projects that directly address documented water quality impairments or protect a drinking water source
  • WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the Town to submit a WQIP Grant application for a brine equipment and storage project ("Grant Application")
  • WHEREAS, the proposed project would provide road brine equipment at the Town salt shed to reduce the amount of salt applied to Town roads, including a related upgrade of the electric system and new water service
  • WHEREAS, the maximum amount of the Grant Application to be applied for is $250,000, subject to a 25% match of $62,500, to be applied to an estimated total project cost of up to $385,000.
