RESOLVED

  1. the Town Board of the Town of Red Hook shall hold a public hearing September 12, 2023, at 7:35pm to hear all interested parties on said Proposed Local Law and at which time and place the Town Board may determine whether to adopt the Proposed Local Law
  2. the Town Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to publish notice of said public hearing in the Poughkeepsie Journal, the official newspaper of said Town, on or before September 1, 2023, which is not less than five calendar days prior to the date of said public hearing.

  • WHEREAS, a proposed form of Local Law No. F (Proposed) of 2023 entitled "A LOCAL LAW AMENDING CHAPTER 131 OF THE TOWN CODE ENTITLED VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC TO PROVIDE FOR REGULATION OF STOP INTERSECTIONS AND CROSSWALKS AND EXCLUSION OF CERTAIN COMMERCIAL VEHICLES FROM SPECIFIED LOCAL HIGHWAYS" has been submitted to the Town Board of the Town of Red Hook (the "Proposed Local Law")
  • WHEREAS, the Proposed Local Law would amend the Town Vehicle and Traffic Code of the Town of Red Hook to exclude trucks, commercial vehicles, and tractor-trailers over 10,000 pounds from specified local highways and to modify procedure regarding stop intersections
  • WHEREAS, pursuant to the State Environmental Quality Review Act ("SEQRA"), the Town Board has reviewed an Environmental Assessment Form (EAF), in the form on file with the Town Clerk, and has determined that the proposed local law constitutes an unlisted action
