RESOLVED

  1. The Town Board appoints Supervisor Robert McKeon, as a Town of Red Hook Marriage Officer for a term commensurate with the Supervisor's term ending December 31, 2023. Such Marriage Officer serves at the pleasure of the Town Board pursuant to Section 11-c of the Domestic Relations Law
  2. Supervisor Robert McKeon shall receive no additional salary for his services as Marriage Officer
  3. The Marriage Officer may solemnize marriages within the territorial jurisdiction of the Town of Red Hook only

  • WHEREAS, pursuant to Article 3, Section 11-c of the New York State Domestic Relations Law, the Town Board may appoint one or more marriage officers who shall have the authority to solemnize a marriage within the territorial jurisdiction of the Town and which marriage shall be valid if performed in accordance with other provisions of law
  • WHEREAS, Robert McKeon, a resident and Supervisor of the Town of Red Hook, has requested the Town Board to appoint him to the position of Marriage Officer
