RESOLVED

  1. the Town Board of the Town of Red Hook does hereby authorize the Highway Superintendent to accept the foregoing bid and to purchase snow and ice control abrasives as needed from time to time for general highway maintenance purposes at said FOB or delivered prices from Red Wing Properties, Inc. for the 2021 calendar year, within applicable budgetary authority.
Show preamble — 4 WHEREAS clauses
  • WHEREAS, sealed bids for ice control abrasives for 2021, were publicly opened and read on September 24, 2020 after due notice pursuant to Section 103 of the General Municipal Law, with bids being received for such material from A. Colarusso and Son, Inc., Red Wing Properties, Inc., and Callanan Industries, Inc., as shown on the attached bid tabulation; and
  • WHEREAS, the Highway Superintendent has determined that, taking into account the location and FOB price of the product at the place and time and with the quantities anticipated to be needed for the calendar year 2021, the bid of Red Wing Properties, Inc. is the lowest responsible bid for snow and ice control abrasives as set forth on such bid tabulation; and
  • WHEREAS, the Highway Superintendent has determined that such bid is not in excess of the available contract price for such materials though the State Office of General Services; and
  • WHEREAS, the Town Highway Superintendent has recommended award of the bid to such bidder
