- the execution of a piggyback contract with the Contractor for the 2023 Paving Project is hereby approved, with an estimated cost of $285,259.60, subject to the provision of a certificate of insurance and bonds as required by the specifications, for the work described in the specifications

- WHEREAS, Dutchess County Department of Public Works has awarded a contract dated April 7, 2023 ("County Contract") to Callanan Industries, Inc. ("Contractor") for Hot Mix Asphalt Concrete In-Place as described in specifications dated March 8, 2023, for County projects in the Town of Red Hook and the bid tabulation attached to the County Contract, a copy of which is on file with the Town Clerk, at a price of $77.22 per ton, subject to certain adjustments specified in the County Contract
- WHEREAS, the Town Highway Superintendent has recommended that the Town award a paving contract for a portion of the projects included in the 284 Agreement executed for 2023 requiring asphalt pavement, including North Drive, Old Route 199, Pin Oak Drive, Sycamore Drive, Rokeby Extension, Dock Road, Station Hill, James Court, Lore Lane, and Lisa Court as described in the 284 Agreement ("2023 Paving Project") via "piggybacking" on the County Contract as permitted by the Town's Purchasing Policy and General Municipal Law Section 103; with an aggregate estimated tonnage of 3,240, and the Highway Superintendent has determined that such procedure will result in the best price obtainable after comparing the available OGS contract
