RESOLVED

  1. The Town Board hereby adopts a determination of non-significance for the Recreation Park Fruit Bud Connector project, finding that the project as proposed will not result in any significant adverse environmental impacts, for the reasons set forth in the form of Negative Declaration on file with the Town Clerk.

  • WHEREAS, the Town of Red Hook has adopted a Master Plan for the expansion of existing soccer and baseball programs, which Master Plan provides for the expansion of the existing recreation park to include an additional parcel west of Linden Avenue
  • WHEREAS, a negative declaration was adopted pursuant to SEQRA on April 9, 2013 with respect to the Master Plan; a negative declaration was approved December 12, 2017 with respect to the acquisition of a +/- 1.09 acre parcel of land located on Linden Avenue adjacent to the new Town of Red Hook Recreation Park parcel, and a negative declaration was adopted March 12, 2019 regarding new facilities including pathways and related infrastructure at the Rec Park West site
  • WHEREAS, the Town now intends to undertake additional Recreation Park improvements including pathways at Rec Park West and a walkway along Fruit Bud Lane to connect the East and West Rec Park areas
  • WHEREAS, a Short EAF dated June 9,2023 has been prepared on behalf of the Town Board and is on file with the Town Clerk
  • WHEREAS, the action is properly classified as an unlisted action under SEQRA
  • WHEREAS, the Town Board has considered the criteria contained in 6 NYCRR 617.7 and thoroughly analyzed all identified relevant areas of environmental concern
