RESOLVED

  1. by the Town Board of the Town of Red Hook (by the favorable vote of not less than a majority of all of the members of the Board), that the amended Fund Balance Policy for the Town of Red Hook is hereby approved in the form on file with the Town Clerk
Show preamble — 3 WHEREAS clauses
  • WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 107 of the Town Law and Section 6-e of the General Municipal Law, Towns are permitted to retain a reasonable fund balance
  • WHEREAS, the New York State Comptroller recommends that Towns develop a policy for management of fund balance as part of prudent fiscal management
  • WHEREAS, a proposed amended TOWN OF RED HOOK FUND BALANCE POLICY (the "Fund Balance Policy") has been submitted to the Town Board of the Town of Red Hook by the Supervisor, and such proposed Fund Balance Policy is on file with the Town Clerk
