RESOLVED

  1. the joint appointment with Town of Rhinebeck of Leslie Hill as an Animal Control Officer, to serve as Dog Control Officer for the Town of Red Hook with the powers and duties set forth in Chapter 63 of the Town Code, is hereby approved. Such appointment shall be concurrent with the Town of Rhinebeck and conditioned on meeting the terms and conditions of appointment for both Towns, except that the appointee may reside in either Town
  2. the joint appointment with Town of Rhinebeck of Patricia Wind as a deputy Animal Control Officer, to serve as Deputy to the Dog Control Officer for the Town of Red Hook with the powers and duties set forth in Chapter 63 of the Town Code, is hereby approved. Such appointment shall be concurrent with the Town of Rhinebeck and conditioned on meeting the terms and conditions of appointment for both Towns, except that the appointee may reside in either Town

  • WHEREAS, pursuant to the Town Code, a Dog Control Officer is an individual appointed by the Town Board to assist in the enforcement of Chapter 63 of the Town Code and of Articles 7 and 26 of the Agriculture and Markets Law
  • WHEREAS, pursuant to Agriculture and Markets Law Section 113(2), any town may appoint, jointly with one or more other municipalities, one or more dog control officers having jurisdiction in each of the cooperating municipalities
  • WHEREAS, the Town of Red Hook and the Town of Rhinebeck have entered into an Intermunicipal Agreement (Rhinebeck Kennel) dated as of July 1, 2024 regarding use of the Town of Rhinebeck kennels
  • WHEREAS, the Town Board has determined that it is in the best interests of the Town to provide for joint appointment of a person to serve as Animal Control Officer
