RESOLVED

  1. the Town Board hereby adopts a determination of non-significance for the Recreation Park Improvements, finding that the project as proposed will not result in any significant adverse environmental impacts, for the reasons set forth in the form of Negative Declaration on file with the Town Clerk
Show preamble — 6 WHEREAS clauses
  • WHEREAS, the Town of Red Hook has adopted a Master Plan for the expansion of existing soccer and baseball programs, which Master Plan provides for the expansion of the existing recreation park to include an additional parcel west of Linden Avenue
  • WHEREAS, a negative declaration was adopted pursuant to SEQRA on April 9, 2013 with respect to the Master Plan, the Town later acquired a +/- 1.09-acre parcel of land located on Linden Avenue adjacent to the new Town of Red Hook Recreation Park parcel, and a negative declaration was adopted December 12, 2017
  • WHEREAS, the Town now intends to undertake recreation park improvements including new facilities consistent with the master plan project and rehabilitation or replacement of existing facilities, including: Challenger Field upgrade to an existing field, a new little league field, flexible use green space, parking improvements, facility improvements, pathways and related infrastructure
  • WHEREAS, a Short EAF dated March 12, 2019 has been prepared on behalf of the Town Board and is on file with the Town Clerk
  • WHEREAS, the action is properly classified as an unlisted action under SEQR
  • WHEREAS, the Town Board has considered the criteria contained in 6 NYCRR 617.7 and thoroughly analyzed all identified relevant areas of environmental concern
