RESOLVED

  1. The Town Board hereby determines that the award of the Helical Piles Contract to Techno Metal Post Hudson Valley for the lump sum price of $126,985.00 as a sole source contract, based on the factors described in the Engineering Report and the Recommendation, is in the best interests of the Town, and hereby approves such award.
  2. The Supervisor, or in his absence or unavailability the Deputy Supervisor, is hereby authorized and directed to execute the Helical Piles Contract on the terms and conditions set forth in substantially the form on file with the Town Clerk, with such changes as may be approved by the officer executing such contract consistent with the terms of this resolution.
  3. The Town Board hereby authorizes the acceptance and execution by the Supervisor, or in his absence or unavailability the Deputy Supervisor, of the Change Order #2 in the amount of $35,708.03 to the Fastracs Contract.
  4. This resolution shall take effect immediately.

  • WHEREAS, the Town of Red Hook, Dutchess County, New York (the "Town") in connection with the Town of Red Hook, Stony Brook Road Culvert Project, entered into a contract dated as of June 25, 2019 (the "Fastracs Contract") with Fastracs Rentals, Inc. for the "Town of Red Hook Stony Brook Road Culvert Replacement Project" in the Town of Red Hook (the "Project"), with a contract amount of $203,959 including Change Order #1, pursuant to plans and specifications for Project No. 3616.43 ("the "Project") prepared by Crawford & Associates Engineering, P.C. ("Crawford Engineering")
  • WHEREAS, following installation of pre-cast concrete culvert sections, it was determined that settlement had occurred, and a report dated April 2020 (the "Engineering Report") was subsequently prepared by Crawford Engineering, including a detailed evaluation of the remediation options, evaluating feasibility and cost, and recommending installation of helical piles
  • WHEREAS, Crawford Engineering has prepared supplemental plans and specifications for Contract No. 3616B for installation of helical piles ("Helical Piles Contract"), has solicited proposals for such installation, and has provided a letter to the Town Board dated June 3, 2020 ("Recommendation Letter") recommending the award of such contract to Techno Metal Post Hudson Valley as a sole source at a lump sum price of $126,985 plus the actual cost for a payment and performance bond, based on the factors outlined in the Engineering Report and such Recommendation Letter
  • WHEREAS, Crawford Engineering has prepared a change order #2 to the Fastracs Contract at a cost not to exceed $35,708.03 for additional dewatering work required in connection with such installation ("Fastracs Change Order #2")
  • WHEREAS, copies of such Engineering Report, Recommendation Letter, supplemental plans and specifications, and Fastracs Change Order #2 are on file with the Town Clerk
