RESOLVED

  1. the Town of Red Hook hereby authorizes Supervisor McKeon, or in his absence or unavailability Deputy Supervisor Hamel, to submit an application for Restore NY funding for the Project
  2. The Town acknowledges the requirement for a ten percent (10%) match, which is proposed to be funded by the Company

  • WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Red Hook (herein called the "Town Board" and the "Town", respectively) is considering a submission of a Restore New York Communities Initiative grant application for the adaptive reuse of an existing Dutch barn located on a vacant Parcel 4 as shown on FM 12797 to create commercial space as part of an affordable housing initiative at that site (the "Project")
  • WHEREAS, the Town is eligible for grant funding under Round 8 of the Restore NY Communities Initiative Municipal Grant Program
  • WHEREAS, this project is consistent with all existing local plans, the proposed financing is appropriate for the project, the project will facilitate effective and efficient use of existing and future public resources so as to promote both economic development and preservation of community resources and the project develops and enhances infrastructure and/or other facilities in a manner that will attract, create and sustain employment opportunities in the Town
  • WHEREAS, the Town proposes to enter into an agreement with an experienced not for profit affordable housing development company (the "Company") in connection with the Project
