RESOLVED

  1. the Town Board of the Town of Red Hook hereby adopts a determination of non-significance for the Project, finding that the Project as proposed will not result in any significant adverse environmental impacts, for the reasons set forth in the form of Negative Declaration on file with the Town Clerk.

  • WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Red Hook is considering the installation of a 0.7491 MW community solar array (the 'Project') on an approximately 4 acre portion of the 11.16 acre parcel 134889-6273-00-530088-0000 and 134801-6272-07-550997-0000, located adjacent to the Cookingham Farm property west of Route 9
  • WHEREAS, the Town of Red Hook was notified of the award by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority grant in the amount of $175,000 to fund a portion of the Project
  • WHEREAS, there has been prepared and submitted to the Town an Environmental Assessment Form (EAF) for the action dated November 12, 2024
  • WHEREAS, on November 12, 2024, the Town Board classified the proposed action as an unlisted action under SEQRA and declared its intent to serve as lead agency in a coordinated review of the Project
  • WHEREAS, the Town Board has considered the criteria contained in 6 NYCRR 617.7 and thoroughly analyzed all identified relevant areas of environmental concerns disclosed in the EAF and any comments of involved agencies
  • WHEREAS, the Town Board has reviewed a draft Negative Declaration setting forth reasons supporting a determination that the proposed action will not have a significant adverse impact on the environment
