Resolution text

RESOLVED

  1. Regular meetings of the Board will take place throughout the year 2024 on the following days in each month, at 7:30 p.m. at the Town Hall: Second Tuesday and Fourth Wednesday.
  2. The Official Newspaper of the Town for 2024 shall be the Poughkeepsie Journal.
  3. The following financial institutions shall be Official Depositaries of the Town for all Town monies for 2024: M&T Bank and The Bank of Greene County. In addition, the Town is a member of NYCLASS pursuant to the NYCLASS Municipal Cooperation Agreement Amended and Restated as of March 14, 2014.
  4. Pursuant to Section 64 of the Town Law, the Town Clerk/Receiver is authorized to maintain a petty cash fund in the amount of $500.00.
  5. The following salaries are established for elected officials for 2024: Supervisor $60,220; Town Board Members (each) $9,702; Town Clerk $62,379; Town Justices (each) $19,952; Highway Superintendent $73,259.
  6. The mileage reimbursement rate of $0.67 per mile is established for Town officials and employees incurring official mileage in 2024, subject to adjustment by the Town Board to be consistent with IRS rates.
  7. A blanket bond is authorized in lieu of individual undertaking pursuant to Section 11(2) of the Public Officers Law for all officers and employees who collect money.
  8. The following are authorized to sign bank checks for all Town business: (i) Supervisor Robert McKeon; (ii) Deputy Supervisor William Hamel in absence of Supervisor; and (iii) Board Members Christine Kane, Julia Solomon, or Jacob Testa in absence of Supervisor and Deputy Supervisor.
  9. The Supervisor is authorized and directed to submit to the Town Clerk within 60 days after the close of the fiscal year a copy of the Supervisor's report to the State Comptroller, and the Town Clerk shall cause a summary to be published within 10 days in the official newspaper.
  10. The Procurement Policy as recommended by the Purchasing Officer in the form last revised 5/12/2020 is approved.
  11. The Investment Policy in the form last revised 3/12/2019 is approved.
  12. The Code of Ethics of the Town of Red Hook as set forth in Article III of the Town Code is adopted.
  13. The Fund Balance Policy in the form last revised 3/27/2019 is approved.
