Village Green Committee Authorization
The Village Green Committee is authorized under Chapter 179-4 of the Village Code to administer the Community Forestry Program. The Committee consists of three appointed officers and additional members, all of whom must be Village residents, with a Board liaison appointed by the mayor.[7]
Village Green Committee Member Term Length
Officers and members of the Village Green Committee serve one (1) year terms, which are not subject to term limits.[7]
Village Green Committee Meeting Requirements
All Village Green Committee meetings shall be open to the public when a quorum is present. Agendas and minutes shall be kept and filed with the Village Clerk, and meetings shall be posted at least one week in advance.[7]
Village Green Committee Virtual Attendance Option
A virtual attendance option shall be made available for all scheduled Village Green Committee meetings, except for outdoor meetings.[7]
Community Forestry Program Administration
The Village Green Committee is charged with developing and administering the Community Forestry Program in collaboration with the DPW Foreman. The Committee shall advise the Board on recommended adjustments, organize the annual Arbor Day observance, maintain the tree inventory, adhere to Tree City USA guidelines, coordinate bench donations, and recommend additional projects.[7]
Community Forestry Program Per-Capita Budget
The Village will set aside a budget of at least $2 per capita for implementation of the Community Forestry Program.[7]

The Farmers Market is allocated 16 vendor spaces, with a 50% local merchant requirement under a Memorandum of Understanding with Louise Rose Table and Talent.[5]
