Pro-Housing Communities Pledge Adoption
The Village of Red Hook has adopted the Pro-Housing Communities Pledge, committing to endeavor to take positive steps to alleviate the housing crisis. Commitments include: (1) streamlining permitting for multifamily, affordable, accessible, accessory dwelling unit, and supportive housing; (2) adopting policies that affirmatively further fair housing; (3) incorporating regional housing needs into planning decisions; (4) increasing development capacity for residential uses; and (5) enacting policies that encourage a broad range of housing development types.[2]

Appointed Officer Residency Requirement Modification
Pursuant to Village Law §3-300(2)(a), all appointed officers of the Village of Red Hook need not reside in the Village, but may reside anywhere in the County of Dutchess, State of New York.[1]
