Police Department Cell Phone Procurement

Police Reform and Reinvention Collaborative Plan
The Village of Red Hook adopted the "Village of Red Hook – Police Reform and Reinvention Project – 2021 Official Plan", developed in collaboration with the Dutchess County Police Reform Collaborative and incorporating community input, stakeholder feedback, and public hearings held on February 8, 2021 and February 18, 2021. The plan addresses racial bias, disproportionate policing, and promotes trust, fairness, and legitimacy in accordance with Executive Order 203.[4]
Police Body Camera Service Agreement – Annual Cost
A police body camera service agreement is approved at an annual cost of $4,700.00 for a five-year term, in lieu of a $12,500.00 outright purchase.[6]

The Village purchased eight (8) body-worn cameras for the Red Hook Police Department from Watchguard under State Contract PM 21090 for $12,895.00. Purchase was conditioned on Police Management perfecting the Policy Manual, Legal, and Union contract terms.[3]

The Village Police Department purchases fuel through Wright Express at state contract price plus a 2% fee for police vehicles only. This replaced the prior Voyager program following Wright Express's award of the state contract in June 2012.[1]
