Think Differently Initiative — Adoption
The Village of Red Hook has officially adopted the Think Differently initiative, committing Village officials, business owners, and residents to promoting awareness, acceptance, and inclusion of individuals living on the Autism Spectrum and with special needs.[2]
Think Differently Initiative — Community and Business Obligations
Under the Think Differently initiative, the Village encourages and educates community members and businesses on making facilities and services more accessible and on training staff to welcome and support customers and co-workers with special needs.[2]
Think Differently Initiative — Inclusive Environment Goal
The Think Differently initiative commits the Village to providing a supportive and inclusive environment for individuals of all abilities by supporting community events that expand family-friendly opportunities for people with special needs and their families.[2]

Community Preservation Fund MOU — Village Minimum Allocation
The Village of Red Hook has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Town of Red Hook governing the Community Preservation Fund (CPF) allocation framework. Highly ranked Village parcels are eligible for a minimum of 10% of CPF funds annually, with a combined 20% of annual CPF funds dedicated to use across both Villages.[1]
Community Preservation Fund MOU — Municipal Veto Power
Under the CPF Memorandum of Understanding, each municipality retains the power to veto allocation of its CPF funds to any project that does not directly benefit the Village.[1]
Community Preservation Fund MOU — Relinquishment Mechanism
The CPF Memorandum of Understanding includes a mechanism by which either Village may relinquish the use of its annual CPF allocation.[1]
Community Preservation Fund MOU — Active Participation
The CPF Memorandum of Understanding designates each party — the Village of Red Hook and the Town of Red Hook — as an active participant in the CPF decision-making process.[1]
