RESOLVED

  1. Diana Devens is hereby appointed to the position of Deputy Village Clerk for the applicable term as provided by law
  2. Pursuant to Section 3-300(2)(a) of the New York Village Law, Diana Devens need not reside in the Village of Red Hook, but may reside anywhere in the County of Dutchess, State of New York
  3. Diana Devens will have a starting salary of $17.00 per hour
  4. This resolution shall take effect immediately

  • WHEREAS, the Village of Red Hook Board is authorized pursuant to Section 3-300 of the New York Village Law to appoint a qualified person to the position of Deputy Clerk to fill a vacancy
  • WHEREAS, Section 3-300(1) of the New York Village Law provides that elected and appointed village officers must be village residents to be eligible to serve in that capacity
  • WHEREAS, Section 3-200(2)(a) of the New York Village Law provides that the Village Board of Trustees may, by resolution, provide for modification of the residency requirements to all appointed officers to include residency within the county in which the Village is located
