RESOLVED

  1. The Board of Trustees of the Village of Red Hook hereby does approve and endorse the Grant Application for a grant in the amount up to $40,000 under the 2016 Greenway Conservancy Small Grant Program, for a project known as "Red Hook Village-to-Village Trail: A Town Gown Connection" and located within this community with the required match to be funded by cash or in-kind contributions.
  2. Mayor Ed Blundell, or in his absence the Deputy Mayor, is hereby authorized and directed to execute the Grant Application to the Hudson River Valley Greenway, and to further execute such requests and other documents as may be necessary or convenient in connection with such application.
  3. This resolution shall take effect immediately.

  • WHEREAS, the Village of Red Hook along with the Village of Tivoli is joining in an application by the Town of Red Hook to the Hudson River Valley Greenway for a grant under the 2016 Greenway Conservancy Trail Grant Program for a project entitled "Red Hook Village-to-Village Trail: A Town Gown Connection" to be located in the Town of Red Hook, Village of Red Hook, Village of Tivoli, and Bard College
  • WHEREAS, said project is expected to include signage and traffic calming measures and does not include the construction of new trails
  • WHEREAS, the grant application requires the applicant municipality to obtain the approval/endorsement of the governing body of the municipality or municipalities in which the project will be located
  • WHEREAS, the grant requires a one to one match which is intended to be provided through voluntary in-kind contributions and/or cash
  • WHEREAS, the action set forth herein constitutes a Type II action which has been determined under SEQRA not to have a significant effect on the environment
