Abolition of Office of Village Justice
The Office of Village Justice, together with the Acting Village Justice, Court Clerk, and all supportive services, is abolished upon the expiration of the current term ending April 5, 2027, pursuant to §3-301(2)(a) of the Village Law. This resolution was adopted subject to permissive referendum and takes effect upon expiration of the referendum period or upon a referendum vote supporting abolition.[6]

GovPayNet Online Payment Authorization
The Village Justice Court is authorized to utilize GovPayNet (Government Payment Services, Inc.), a web-based third-party payment service, enabling defendants to pay court fines online, subject to counsel approval of the participation agreement. The system creates no cost or liability to the Village; fees are incurred solely by the defendant.[2]
