Snow Removal Fee — First Offense
For a property owner's first offense in a season, the Village charges $2.00 per linear foot for snow/ice removal performed by the Village after the owner fails to clear the sidewalk within 24 hours of a storm. This tiered fee structure became effective retroactive to the beginning of the 2025–2026 winter season.[4]
Snow Removal Fee — Second Offense
For a property owner's second offense in a season, the Village charges $3.00 per linear foot for snow/ice removal. This fee became effective retroactive to the beginning of the 2025–2026 winter season.[4]

Per Village Code Section 165-1, property owners must remove all snow and ice within 24 hours after a snow/ice storm; if they fail to do so, the Village clears the sidewalk and charges the expense against the property owner per Section 165-4. The Village Clerk is directed to amend any invoices already issued to conform to the revised tiered fee schedule.[4]
