Dutchess County 2025 Hazard Mitigation Plan Adoption
The Village of Red Hook Board of Trustees adopted the Dutchess County 2025 Hazard Mitigation Plan on April 13, 2026, in accordance with the Disaster Mitigation Act of 2000, to reduce or eliminate long-term risk to people and property from future hazards and disasters. Future iterations of the plan may be edited or amended after submission for review without requiring the community to re-adopt them, though this does not absolve the community from updating the plan within 5 years (by April 13, 2031).[5]

Narcan Vending Machine Authorization
The Village authorized proceeding with hosting a Narcan and fentanyl testing strip vending machine near the Information Building, in collaboration with the Dutchess County Department of Health and MATTER. The Village subsequently authorized receiving and placing a Narcan vending machine provided free of charge by the Dutchess County/MATTER program, with Dutchess County providing a Certificate of Insurance.[3][4]
Narcan Vending Machine Refill Obligation
The Village is responsible for refilling the Narcan vending machine received from the Dutchess County/MATTER program. The Village retains the right to refuse or request removal of the machine at any time.[4]

Think Differently Initiative Adoption
The Village of Red Hook residents and business owners have adopted the Think Differently initiative to promote awareness, acceptance, and inclusion of individuals living on the Autism Spectrum and with special needs. The initiative supports community events that expand family-friendly opportunities for people with special needs and their families, and encourages businesses and community members to make facilities and services more accessible.[1]

Dutchess County Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan Municipal Annex (2017)
The Village adopted the Dutchess County Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan Municipal Annex on May 8, 2017, with a five-year update requirement expiring May 8, 2022. Superseded by the adoption of the Dutchess County 2025 Hazard Mitigation Plan (footnote 5); plan term also expired.[2]
