Hazard Mitigation Plan Adoption
The Village of Red Hook Board of Trustees adopted the Dutchess County 2025 Hazard Mitigation Plan on April 13, 2026, in accordance with the Disaster Mitigation Act of 2000, to demonstrate commitment to hazard mitigation and achieving the goals outlined in the plan.[2]
Plan Amendment Without Re-Adoption
The Dutchess County 2025 Hazard Mitigation Plan may be edited or amended after submission for review without requiring the Village to re-adopt any further iterations. This provision applies only to this specific plan.[2]
Plan Update Requirement
The Dutchess County 2025 Hazard Mitigation Plan must be updated within 5 years of adoption, by no later than April 13, 2031. The waiver of re-adoption does not absolve the community from this update obligation.[2]

2017 Municipal Annex Adoption
Superseded by footnote 2. The Village adopted the Dutchess County Hazard Mitigation Plan Municipal Annex on May 8, 2017 (Resolution 14-2017), with a five-year term expiring May 8, 2022. The plan has since been replaced by the Dutchess County 2025 Hazard Mitigation Plan.[1]
