RESOLVED
- The proposal for a Speed Limit Evaluation as offered by Creighton Manning is approved to proceed for a cost of $11,500
- The cost will be covered using ARPA funds
Show preamble — 6 WHEREAS clauses
- WHEREAS, there is an interest in considering reducing the Village Speed Limit to 25mph as now allowed by State Law
- WHEREAS, there is also an interest in considering a school speed zone by the Middle and High Schools in the Village
- WHEREAS, a traffic evaluation is required before enacting a reduction of speed limits in the Village to 25 mph
- WHEREAS, after requesting proposals from several engineering firms, Creighton Manning sent in a proposal in three parts for a total of $11,500
- WHEREAS, the Village has unused ARPA funds that can cover these one-time costs
- WHEREAS, the Village in interested in other traffic related projects, especially in the Village Center along Routes 9 & 199, where this information will be very useful
