RESOLVED

  1. the Village Board of Trustees authorizes the purchase of the New Hyundai HX-35 Excavator with grading buckets as quoted from A. Montano Co., Inc. for $62,993, and
  2. this equipment be purchased using available ARPA funding.
Show preamble — 3 WHEREAS clauses
  • WHEREAS, the Village Department of Public Works has occasion to need an excavator for street repair, water work, and sewer maintenance, and
  • WHEREAS, there are occasions when a smaller excavator is the better equipment to use, especially when in backyards which will happen especially with our sewer system for repairs and maintenance, and
  • WHEREAS, we currently need to hire a contractor when we need to use an excavator for a cost of $10,000 to $20,000 a year for the past several years.
