Personnel Vacation Time Guidelines Amendment

WHEREAS
- it is in the interest of the Village of Red Hook to recruit and retain excellent employees on staff
- the current personnel guidelines allow paid vacation time to full time employees based on years of service and is separate from union labor contracts
- the current personnel guide only addresses up to five years of service with three weeks' vacation time, non-cumulative
- we have non-union full time staff who are past the 5 year term seniority
RESOLVED
- another tier of vacation be inserted in our personnel section that will allow an additional day of vacation after the five year anniversary and an additional day per year up to the ten year anniversary, for a total of 4 weeks' vacation at the 10 year anniversary. Vacation time will not be cumulative. This resolution is only retroactive to the current fiscal year June 1, 2011.
