RESOLUTION REGARDING TRANSFERRING PART TIME POLICE OFFICER TYRONE LAWSON TO FULL TIME HOURLY POSITION

Resolution #67-2023 — 2023-11-30

WHEREAS

the Village Board has determined that to improve operations and efficiency within Village Hall and best serve the public, it is appropriate to utilize the vacant Full Time Hourly Police Officer position
the Village has consulted with the Dutchess County Department of Human Resources, and the Village has a vacant Full Time Hourly position that does not offer benefits
the Village Board has discussed the need for the additional Police officer hours due to the limited number of Part Time officers and the additional contracts procured
the Village Board desires to appoint Officer Tyrone Lawson to the position of Full‐Time Hourly Police Officer

that the Village Board hereby appoints Officer Tyrone Lawson to the position of Full Time Hourly Police Officer effective November 30, 2023
that the hourly pay will be as per Article 8A ‐ Part‐Time hourly rate schedule of the collective bargaining agreement between the Village and the United Public Service Employees Union (UPSEU) dated 6/1/21 to 5/31/24
that the Village Board authorizes Mayor Smythe or her designee to execute and file any appropriate documentation to effectuate the terms of this resolution
