RESOLUTION TO ADD FEES RELATING TO STOP WORK ORDERS TO THE BUILDING/PLANNING/ZONING DEPARTMENT FEE SCHEDULE

Resolution #36-2023 — 2023-07-10

WHEREAS

  • the Village of Red Hook Building, Planning & Zoning Department has a fee schedule that does not currently include fees relating to Stop Work Orders
  • a Stop Work Order is issued when there is a significant violation
  • it is standard practice to have fees relating to Stop Work Orders to disincentivize any construction without the proper permits

RESOLVED

  • Fee for Lifting a Stop Work Order of $250 is added to the Building, Planning & Zoning Department Fee Schedule, effective immediately.
  • Fee for Violating a Stop Work Order of $500/day is added to the Building, Planning & Zoning Department Fee Schedule, effective immediately.
