RESOLUTION TO APPROVE 2023 FIREFIGHTER RECORDS FOR SERVICE PROGRAM AWARD (LOSAP)

Resolution #27-2024 — 2024-08-22

WHEREAS

• Article 11-A of the New York State General Municipal Law requires that a list of Firefighter volunteers who earned a Service Credit during 2023 be certified under oath by the Fire Department and submitted to the Program Sponsor (the Village of Red Hook)
• the Program Sponsor must review and approve the 2023 Firefighter Records listing
• the Red Hook Fire Company has provided the Village of Red Hook Board of Trustees with the 2023 Firefighter Records
• the 30 day posting for review at the Fire Department has already occurred from June 10 through July 15, 2024
• there were no changes made to the Firefighter Records during the review period

RESOLVED

• The 2023 Firefighter Records be approved after Board review
• The mayor is authorized to sign the 2023 SPONSOR AUTHORIZATION FORM that will authorize the program administrator, Penflex Actuarial Services, LLC, to use the data submitted to determine the funding requirements of the Service Award Program
