RESOLUTION TO DECLARE CERTAIN EQUIPMENT TO BE SURPLUS

Resolution #23-2023 — 2023-06-12

WHEREAS

  • certain equipment and material has become obsolete or determined to no longer be of use to the Village
  • the Village would like to sell this equipment and materials at auction to recoup any money possible
  • the Village has received two (2) offers for our three (3) extra 2,000 gallon septic tanks which are significantly below the Village's purchase price

RESOLVED

  • The following items be declared surplus and put up for auction at the next convenient opportunity: a. 2011 Chevrolet Tahoe Police vehicle with no motor that has been out of service for several years. b. US Saw – track cutting pipe saw – purchased about 10 years ago – no longer used. c. Three (3) 2,000 gallon septic tanks not used for the sewer project – due to changes for certain properties. Return not an option. d. Approximately 50 fiberglass risers for septic tanks – from an excess shipment for the sewer project. No future use foreseen for this many extras.
  • The three (3) septic tanks will have a minimum bid added to them based on the offers the Village has already received
