Agreement between DCWWA and Village of Red Hook - Hoffman Farms Water Sale
Resolution #20-2018 — 2018-07-09
WHEREAS
- the Village of Red Hook has previously confirmed its intent to sell water to the Hoffman Farms project in the Town of Red Hook
- the Village of Red Hook has confirmed it has surplus water to sell
- the intermediary will be the Dutchess County Water and Waste Water Authority which will be the village's water customer for the Hoffman Farms Project
- the developer, Kirchhoff, has worked toward the creation of a Zone of Assessment by the Dutchess County Waste Water Authority (DCWWA) and the DCWWA will operate the project's water system, including billing and all maintenance with separate Operation and Maintenance costs being billed directly to the developer or its assigns
- the developer will construct, at its own expense the water distribution system in the project
- the water rate being set and charged to the DCWWA for the project will be a multiplier of 1.525 over the current village rate and can rise as the base village rate increases over time
RESOLVED
- the Village of Red Hook will sell water to the DCWWA for Hoffman Farms project as currently presented to the Town of Red Hook
- Mayor Ed Blundell is fully authorized to complete and sign requisite contract documents with the Dutchess County Water and Waste Water Authority, as presented to the Board on July 9, 2018
